Karachi Goods Carriers Association (KGCA) is the largest Association of Pakistan carrying out transportation of goods throughout the country. The Association has been registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 14th October, 1979 with the Registrar of Companies Sindh, Karachi. Firstly, the association was functioning from Old Truck Stand, Mauripur but due to increase of its members and increase in the quantity of various types of vehicles, the truck stand was shifted in 1994 from Mauripur to New Truck Stand Hawksbay Road, Karachi covering 100 Acres of land.

The Karachi Goods Carriers Association since its establishment carries out all essential tasks according to Memorandum & Articles of Association. The Managing Body is elected after 02 years by conducting fair and transparent elections. The members of KGCA select 21 members body for 2 years to look after the issues / problems of goods carriers. The body consists of 06 Office Bearers and 15 Executive members to run the association. The Head of the Cabinet is called the President. To solve / redress the grievances of the members several Adhoc Committees are formed as mentioned below:-

These committees furnish their performance in the Executive Committee meeting being held in every 2 months regularly which also passes necessary reports, estimates, Income & Expenditure, the record of which is maintained by the General Secretary in a specific register.

Similarly, annual General Body meeting is also conducted in the month of August each year in which all essential matters are approved. The annual Audit Report is also delivered among the members and approved by the General Body. In the last General Body meeting the date of next election, election committee and estimated expenditures for election is also announced and
